Hello everyone, Welcome back to my blog. Today cold weather has officially arrived in Atlanta. This has me thinking of all the fall outfits and trends I’m noticing around town.
Thankfully though, for most parts of the world, it’s not freezing cold yet, but it’s also not exactly warm either. We’re stuck in that “in-between stage” of the season. Therefore, it’s a perfect time to build a wardrobe of fall and winter styles. Below are some fall trends I think are going to be great this colder season. Due to what’s going on in the world (thanks coronavirus 😑🤦🏾♀️)) most of the items are going to be more casual fits. I predict the stay at home orders will persist throughout the colder months as flu season begins. Therefore, it doesn’t make sense to post about high heels when most people are just running errands and working from home.
Anyways, let go ahead and get started with the fall trends. If you’re new to my blog – WELCOME! I’m Monaco and I love talking about fashion. If you haven’t seen my other post, please check out my previous post: 7 COOL HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS
Season Trend #1: slip dresses with turtlenecks
Top: ASOS Vera Moda Turtleneck | Dress: ASOS Mini Cami Slip Dress | Shoes: Missguided Black Faux Suede Panel Link Loafers
If the phrase transitional fashion were an outfit, I think she would wear this. Although slip dresses are usually worn during warmer months, I think you can wear these in the fall with the right layers. pair them with a lettece collared shirt and combat boots. For a jacket, I’d opt for a denim one.
Season Trend #2 Long sleeve camp shirts
I feel like every aesthetic Instagram influencer wears these – including the boys. Beyond that, the boxy fit is quite comfortable, meaning it’s the kind of easy item I’ll reach for day in and day out.
Top: ASOS Oversized Button Up|Bottom: Bershka Mom Jean in Vintage Wash Blue
Season Trend #3: Mustard Yellow
I’m starting to see the mustard yellow come back compared to pastel colors. Besides black and white, other colors that pair nicely with mustard yellow are aubergine, denim blue, rust and olive.
Top: Sixth June Logo Hoodie|Jacket: Blue Oversized Denim Jacket|Bottom: Black Denim High Waisted Jeans
Season #4: Bubble/platform shoes
Technically this trend has been all over Instagram but I think most people do not wear these in real life. However, I’m starting to see that change now that Filas has come out with a pair that looks similar to the Gucci and Balenciaga dad shoes at an affordable price.
IMO, bubble shoes look best with t-shirt dresses. You can also wear that casually with distressed straight leg jeans, as well.
Shoes: Filas Disrupter Sneakers in White
Season #5: Granny Sweaters
There are a few variations on the look, but the most popular is a very sweet knit with floral embroidery and appliqués. I found substantial evidence below, and trend-conscious retailers like Zara (which is having an epic sale right now, by the way) have already given their stamp of approval to the style.
Sweater: Free People Granny Sweater
